Coming out of the holiday week means we are moving into the stillness of winter. After the flurry of social connection, it is time to nurture the seeds of what we want to create next.

What a beautiful invitation. Think of this season as a time to gather the magical ingredients that meets your needs exactly! Remember your knowing that by nourishing yourself first, you will have so much more to offer others.

Today's Question

This week’s question is something so many of you have experienced on your healing journeys.

The Question:​
​"Why do people from years past start to show up in my life again when I start making progress in my spiritual healing journey?"

The Answer:​
YES!! So often when you start healing from your past experiences, people will pop up seemingly out of nowhere! Sometimes even after a decade of not hearing from them. Please know, this is a powerful sign that your inner work is creating real change.

The primary reason for this to happen is that your attachment to that person has changed. As you heal, you release old energetic cords and patterns that once connected you. On an unconscious level, they register this shift—the energetic void where your old connection used to be—and it causes them to think of you. When that happens, they often feel "the need" to reach out and "check on you" or "catch up."

It is a good indication that their energetic state has not changed much since your last interaction. Very rarely will they "come back" if they have also advanced, because you were likely not in their sphere of energy after their own advancement. Your paths diverged. Their return is often a confirmation that you have graduated from that particular lesson.

So, should you pursue a friendship with them now?​
This is the essential follow-up question. As a general rule, I recommend NOT pursuing a relationship of any kind with a person from the past whose reappearance coincides with your healing. You have done the work to change the dynamic. Re-engaging often means stepping back into an old pattern you’ve worked so hard to release.

The only exception would be if that past connection was with a person who genuinely facilitated your own personal growth in a positive and supportive way. Even then, they may not want to reconnect.

Otherwise, see their message as a beautiful validation of your progress. Thank the universe for the sign, wish them well from afar, and let them go gracefully. You've already learned that lesson. You don't need to recall any patterns that no longer serve your healing.
